Children's Centre Staff
The Centre Manager is Jacqui Marsh, whose role is to oversee the whole of the Centre’s activities and ensure that it is meeting its objectives for the local community.
Glynis Jenkinson is the Teacher for the Centre, whose role is the integrated learning and child development in all of the Centre’s activities.
The two Family Development Workers, Jan Ball and Julie Campbell, are our main contacts for parents and carers and are there to act as the link between the health professionals (such as midwives, health visitors, speech and language therapists) and our families. Jan is the deputy manager of the Centre.
First point of contact for people coming in to the Centre is our our part-time Receptionist/Administrators, Lynsey Cook (Monday to Wednesday) and Louise Davies (Thursday and Friday). They will answer your calls and book you a place on our activity sessions.
As the Finance/Administrator, Sharon Ormesher works with the Manager to make sure the day-to-day supplies and payments are under control. Sharon is the person who sends out the statements and reminders for childcare fees for the nursery.
We have creche support for training sessions, such as weaning and cookery, maths and English and other courses for parents. We also offer respite creche for families identified by health visitors or other partners. Pauline Jessop is the Creche Co-ordinator and Louise Hulligan is the Creche Practitioner. As well as the creche Pauline runs the two play groups and toy library sessions each week.
