Year Four

Our Class teacher is: Mrs Pinch

Teaching Assistant: Miss Goldsmith

Welcome to the Year 4 class page. We hope that you will find the information available useful.

In Year 4, pupils further strengthen their understanding of reading, writing and mathematics, including mastering their times tables. They take part in a wide range of engaging lessons and activities that help bring the curriculum to life.

We encourage our pupils to take pride in their work, work collaboratively with others and develop resilience when faced with challenges. Year 4 is a valuable year for building strong foundations that will support future learning.

If you have any questions or queries, please do not hesitate to contact a member of the team and we will be happy to help.

Times Tables

In Year 4, we work very hard to learn our times tables. These are assessed at the end of the year. Please practise these as often as you can. Memorising timetables strengthens our ability to perform mental maths. Times tables are important for completing standardised tests, like SATS, in a timely manner.
