Governor Profiles
Dave Sweeney
I was the Corporate Change Manager at Produban UK, a wholly owned subsidiary of Santander UK. My responsibility is to ensure standardised methods, processes and procedures which are used for all IT Infrastructure and Software changes, facilitate efficient and prompt handling of all changes, and maintain the proper balance between the need for change and the potential detrimental impact of changes.
I started working for Girobank in 1977 and have seen many changes in IT on the Bootle site in the last 40 years. I had staff across two sites, here in Bootle and in Carlton Park, Leicester.
I started as a governor at Litherland Moss in September 2002 and I am currently Chair of Governors. My chief motivation is to try and ensure that every child is able achieve their full potential and leave our school confident and well prepared for the next stage in their education.
Daryl Fong
I've worked in education for over 10 years, most recently with SIMS, where my focus is around helping Multi Academy Trusts use technology to improve educational outcomes. I applied to become a governor at Litherland Moss as I want to contribute to the success of the school and the future of many young people.
Connie Bostock
Jonathon McNeil
As a School Governor, I bring a blend of financial expertise and a parent’s perspective to the role. With 18+year experience in financial services, I am well-versed in budgeting, resource allocation and governance oversight; skills that can be invaluable for maximising the school’s resources and driving positive learning outcomes.
Being a parent of two primary school-age children, I am deeply invested in quality of education and I understand the concerns and aspirations of many parents within the community. My commitment to ensuring a safe, inclusive, and high-quality learning environment for all children drives my passion for this role.
Governor Committees 2024-2025
In the academic year 2024-2025, there are no committees of the governing body.
The full governing board sits six times during the academic year and has a role in quality assuring the work of the school leadership team.
