Welcome from the Head of School

Whether you already have a child at Litherland Moss or you are a parent or carer who is considering sending your child here, we hope you find our website useful. Its purpose is to state our school aims and to serve as a reference point on some of the practical matters that you will need to know from time to time.

The Litherland Moss Way

Litherland Moss Primary School is a one-form entry community school sharing its site with Litherland High School. The school academised in September 2018 and joined The Heath Family (NW) Multi Academy Trust. Here is the link to their website.

We aim to provide children with a broad and rich curriculum and we are very proud of our achievements; particularly in the basic skills of reading, writing and mathematics. To broaden children’s horizons further, we offer a wide range of extra curricular activities.

All the work we do in school is values driven. We believe in developing the whole child – within our school community, his/ her family and within the wider community.

Our work in school is underpinned by six key values. The six values are the ones that we promote trust wide and form the basis for everything that we do:

kindness
respect
aspiration
resilience
integrity
collaboration

Our values are promoted through: curriculum; assemblies; social times. Children and adults are encouraged to promote the values in all their work and interactions with others.

What our parents say:

At Litherland Moss we offer a values driven curriculum, how do you feel this impacts your child?

This is one of the best things about litherland moss! Not only do you invest in the, academic skills, but you focus time and energy into supporting , to become the best person she can be. Teaching children not just academically, i feel is so important and feel _____ is learning lots about growing in to a confident. nice and assertive little gel.

At Litherland Moss we offer a values driven curriculum, how do you feel this impacts your child?

is always talking about the values and understands what they are. When he achieves things at home he tells me what value it is that he has demonstrated. He also understands the positive behaviour and good choices earn you rewards and good things happen in return.

At Litherland Moss we offer a values driven curriculum, how do you feel this impacts your child?

It is something they both absorb. They discuss it often at home and the values that are discussed. We focus very much at home on being kind, making the kind choice every time. The values you teach there and the way it comes across mirrors how we do it at home. They are both very keen to be rainbow leaders when the time comes, and that had to be due to the way it comes across and is modelled by the older children.

Within our school community it is the expectation that everyone (staff, pupils and parents) promote aspiration and ambition; encourage others to learn and be the best they can be; celebrate all achievement and recognise its importance to the individual.

If you are a prospective parent and, having read our prospectus, you would like to view the school, please telephone the office to make an appointment. Alternatively you can call into the school office between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. and someone will be available to help you.

We look forward to meeting you.

Yours sincerely,

Miss J. Gibbons
