Year Three
Our class teachers are: Mrs Donnelly and Ms Flynn
Teaching assistant: Mrs Clarke
Welcome to Year 3!
This marks the beginning of Key Stage 2 and an exciting new chapter in our pupils’ learning journey.
In Year 3, children build on their previous learning from Key Stage 1 while developing greater independence and responsibility. We place a strong emphasis on reading, writing and mathematics, alongside a broad and creative curriculum that encourages curiosity and exploration. In year 3, pupils engage in a wider variety of subjects, most notably Spanish as part of our Modern Foreign Languages curriculum.
Pupils are supported to become confident learners who are willing to take risks and challenge themselves. We encourage positive attitudes, teamwork and perseverance, helping children to develop both academically and personally.
Important information:
During Autumn Term, PE is on Monday. Please ensure your child has their PE kit in school each week.

Our weekly spellings and times tables tests are each Thursday. Practice sheets go home every Thursday with spellings and times tables for the following Thursday
Please practise times tables on Hit the Button or Purple Mash.
